Since 2007, we are the branch of Grupo Lucci, which is dedicated to the production of sugarcane and the commercialization of sugars. We carry out comprehensive production processes, certifying quality and responsible practices in accordance with international standards.
Our product, white sugar, meets the standards of quality and safety our clients demand. Our sugar, packed in 50-kg bags, is certified according to the protocols applied in production, which guarantees compliance with all food safety and quality regulations.
Our company exploits a total of 2,500 planted hectares distributed in three different farms which are distributed along the sugarcane-producing area of Tucumán and Salta in the Argentinian Northwest (Tucumán, Salta, and Jujuy).
The production process of sugarcane farming starts with soil preparation, taking into account its topography and irrigation capabilities. This task is carried out with state-of-the-art equipment. We also carry out extensive weed control and apply fertilizers validated with the strictest quality and environmental care standards.
Our harvest is green-cane and fully mechanized. We make sure all stubble remains on the soil of our fields so we can apply an efficient and sustainable system of harvest-waste usage. The conservation of post-harvest agricultural waste on the soil favours the preservation of humidity, provides organic matter and contributes to a considerable decrease in the growth of weeds.
At El Pucará, we provide different mills with our product. They carry out the milling in order to obtain sugar, which then comes back to our facilities to be commercialized.
The product is stacked and stored during the harvest and marketed later, between November and April, when the limited supply of sugar in the market allows us to obtain a competitive price. Meanwhile, our stock and distribution policies are thoroughly planned so that we can meet the supply required by our clients, and thus, build positive and lasting relationships with them.
El Pucará manages its production in a safe, responsible and sustainable manner. Our plantations are certified by the GLOBAL G.A.P. standard, which shows our commitment with quality, our workers’ safety, and environmental care.
This internationally recognised standard demands productive efficiency, consequently improving business performance and reducing the waste of necessary resources, with the final goal of achieving a safe and sustainable production.
At El Pucará, we adhere to the environment-management protocol for sugarcane farming, drafted jointly by institutions and producers in Tucumán, which is intended to prevent possible accidental or intentional fires, guaranteeing that the harvest is green-cane, and sugarcane waste management is carried out without burning.
This set of practices, applicable to field cultivation, results in safe foodstuffs as well as ensures caring for environmental, economic and social sustainability.
We follow this approach in all our facilities, because we understand that caring for both the environment and our natural resources is crucial to the sustainable generation of value, and for improving our productivity and working conditions.

Started in 2003, the Foundation aims at strengthening the rural communities of the Argentinian Northwest, by answering some of the innumerable social and educational needs of the region. Through our own training programmes, which are related to subjects such as Values, Health, the Environment, Human Rights, Child Labour, Entrepreneurship and Labour Market Integration, we seek to strengthen the comprehensive development of children, youngsters, adults and their communities.
